Kinross were once again represented at one of the Edinburgh Rugby PRO12 matches, last night against the Newport Gwent Dragons. Edinburgh turned in a fine winning performance and a great evening was had by the children in P4, P5 and P6.

On early arrival at the stadium, the boys and girls were all presented with flags and Edinburgh rugby squad cards, and then got the opportunity to meet some of the Edinburgh players, including Scotland Caps Jack Cuthbert and Dougie Fife. After pictures and signatures a short q&a was held.

The P4/5 squad of 18 then took to the pitch to act as guard of honour whilst both teams ran onto the pitch.

At Half time, the P6 team took to the pitch to play against Lasswade, a team we had not played previously. Due to injuries we only had 9 players to their 10, but decided to play to those numbers anyway in the short 8 minute game on the famous pitch. Once again the P6 boys did the club proud with some fantastic rugby, ensuring that Lasswade did not get anywhere near our line and with some fine offloading, tackling and rucking we ran out comfortable 7-0 winners.

A great experience for all involved.
