Falkirk came out the gates swinging with 2 tries in the first 10 minutes (one converted). Quickly we lost a bit of momentum with Lewis Macpherson heading off the pitch with an ankle injury and Falkirk took advantage with another 3 tries going over (2 converted) as we reached 30 minutes. Kinross woke up around this point with Adam Mellis going over for our first try of the match. The conversion was missed but Kinross kept on top of Falkirk with Stuart Hunter making a break and crossing the try line for our second. The conversion was missed and Falkirk took possession back at kick off scoring their 6th try (this one converted) to close out the 1st half.
Falkirk 38 - 10 Kinross
No scores for the first 10 minutes of the second half but consistent infringements from Falkirk lead to a yellow card, quickly capitalised on by Kinross with Chris Innes falling over the line from some solid forwards work. John McMurdo managed to send this one over the bar for our first conversion of the match. Falkirk came back into the game as their yellow card ran out, going over for another unconverted try. The infringements continued though and shortly after they returned to 15 men, another player was sin binned. Once again Kinross capitalised on the man advantage with Phil Lamb going over and John McMurdo adding the extras. The final 10 minutes saw another 2 tries (one converted) for Falkirk and a yellow card for Stuart Hunter.
Falkirk 55 - 24 Kinross
